This weekend is the annual Aurora Repeater Association swap fest.

It's up at the Adams County Fairgrounds. I took my Technicians test at this event 10 years ago now, so it's an anniversary I guess. I understand all the tables are sold out so it should be pretty big this year.

If anyone attends either or both of these swapfests and comes across a prop pitch rotator, would you please forward the contact info and/or the call sign of the seller? There's little chance of my going since I'm in New Mexico and it sounds like you guys are getting snow up north.

I'm looking for a prop pitch in any condition in any size.

As a finder's fee, I think I can get my hands on some fresh brewed home brew beer.

FWIW, what Bruce is talking about is literally the propeller pitch angle motors used on vintage aircraft. After WWII the surplus market was flooded with old aircraft parts and hams use them to turn beams on top of their towers. The ones hams look for were made by Curtis from the late 1930s to the mid 1950s.

Attached a web photo of what one looks like. Powerful suckers to turns the blades on the front of a P51, so a dinky 40m yagi in New Mexican wind ain't nuthin'.

I might head up to the swap tomorrow morning, LMK if anyone else wants to go. I would not be up there very long and honestly I'm not sure if they'll cancel or not.
