compress and hold (zip tie or something) the strut closed. place in freezer overnight and leave there until ready to place on vehicle. This will make the strut easier to work with and not so quick to expand.

got mine from vatozone(autoxzone) think they were 30 bucks been couple years but it was easy enough i did it at work on break, think i started with the bottom then let the shock rise and poped it into the top
