Default Interior makeover

Ordered new OEM grey carpet today and weather tech floor mats. Now I just need Shane to call me back and put my new leather in the mail. I'm buying that "New Car" Smell for $2000, ouch. Don't think I'll get to the install until after CM but we'll see.

Currently looks like this, pretty sad. Smells about as bad as it looks.

We just put the custom molded weather guard mats in our truck and they fit like a glove and are really nice. We want to keep that carpet looking new.

How much do the leather seat kits run?

Nice. I've always found that an interior refresh and a new windshield makes a car/truck feel brand new again.

Leather is $1000. Carpet was $930 with club discount from Stevinson, down from $1300 list. RS membership has it's benefits. Windshield is cracked but that's another $1000 I'm not ready to spend just yet.

GTFOOH... $1000 for a windshield? No full insurance clause here in CO?

I'm jealous of the rest of your refreshed interior though. Sounds like it's going
to be nice.

Needs new weather stripping all the way around. Yes, for the price of a rusty FJ40, I can have glass I can see through, comfy seats, clean carpet, and most importantly, a happy wife.

Those will be nice improvements to that truck. I fully agree on putting new glass in older trucks...

I just had a windshield put in my project '94 4Runner. One local shop was $230, another shop was $175 (incl. molding), and Safelite literally refused to give me a cash-price quote over the phone, after cautioning me that 'they aren't competitive on price, but they have certified technicians - is that important to you? (blah, blah)'. Yeah - I got that.

So, shop around hard for the glass!

I keep glass coverage on my ins. It's not full it's a rider and it's really cheap compared to how much new glass runs on my vehicles. it just has to have a crack longer than 6" in the drivers view. I don't need it much around town but driving in the mtns in the winter destroys you window in no time. Even my 70 has huge crack it in now from a rig driving out to moab. I need to call and get it replaced. It'll be fun telling the glass guy you can only get it from Toyota.
