Judging by the map the top of Angel's Landing at Zion National Park looks like an ideal viewing spot.

That was awesome.. about 7/8 coverage at its peak? Hopefully my welding goggles were good enough protection... anyone else see it?

saw a bit before the cloud cover came in. one of the neighbors had a bunch of pieces of welding glass. girls thought it was a hoot. shot a few pics but i haven't looked at them yet to see if anything came out.

Madeline and I were out there with the pinhole thing, pretty cool stuff until the clouds rolled in, covering the best part

This was right when the sun started hiding behind the clouds. You can barely see the eclipse through them.

That is pretty much what I saw in Evergreen, through the welding helmet...

wow, nice shot!!

I we were on our way back down from biking up near St. Vrain, so this was from a moving car.. and with a point and shoot.. with my welding helmet, and two sun glass lenses all stacked in front of the lens to shield it.

kinda rough, but hey.. I was impressed.
