That does look nice for sometime this summer. 2.5 hours away though. I like the Lost Park area. Met a guy this spring who elk hunts there, I might have to look into that for next year.

Man I was in a similar position last week with a new camper and found this nice little camp spot with a pizza joint right next door. Bathroom was way nicer than SRCG and the campground hosts were awesome.

Trout Creek Pass? you can get back there a ways with that big rig of yours. most folks stay near the HWY with big pull behind trailers.

Very close.
Just talked to the ranger, he was very non-optimistic about ANY places being left this weekend. I got the fire speech about three times before I said I was an area resident and was KEENLY supportive of the fire ban...

what about buffalo creek campground? on second thought if it is open, it will probably be full. i also like the idea of red cone/ webster pass, hall campground i think.

Call me tomorrow if you'll be up that way. I'll be at a friend's cabin in the area with a big group certain to be acting immaturely. No cell coverage up that way.
