Is this the one that was off the 6th ave frontage road? It sure looked nice from the highway.

Well, the rig is done. Just need to paint the hard top and doors, which should happen this week or weekend...

Also doing some fine tuning on the engine and replacing the cap/rotor/plug wires/etc this week with some good OEM parts.

Wow. It's never looked better.

Can you tell me what you did?

Randy,

Here's the rundown:

Cut out body rust
Installed Aqualu smooth corner panels (etched them prior to paint)
Stripped tub down to bare steel
Treated all surface rust with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator
Installed OEM wheels
Installed JT Outfitters front winch bumper (looking for an 8274)
Installed full-size spare
Installed new/used bib/grille
Painted her with Dupont single-stage

The tub is still far from perfect, but she's gonna be a trail rig and that's cool with me.

Lots of other small things, but that's the main chunk of it. Fine tuning the engine this week. Put in some new NGK plugs yesterday...

Carson,

It looks fantastic. You're quite the painter. Did you do anything with the driver's floor? You could almost do a Fred Flintstone stop when I had it.

BTW, I got your text, thanks for keeping me up to date.

Thanks, Randy.

I cut some sheet steel and painted it the same color as the body and then riveted it in. Serves the purpose...no more Fred Flinstone stops. I will kinda miss the exhaust heat that came up from that hole this winter though!
