Not worth 10K. The paint, carpet and especially no top put it in the 6Kish range. Is that a trailer brake in there? How big were those pheasants?

Thanks and keep the comments coming, folks, I'm making a bargaining list. Ige, I think the door wasn't latched. Something to look at more closely, though. The pics were taken at the car show we had the Mercury's in last weekend and I wasn't in critical inspection mode. Owner told me about the trailer brake being installed by the first owner but I can't remember the details. Carpet doesn't look original? From what I've seen on fleabay, $6K doesn't buy much of a Cruiser but I'm just starting to look and learn.

The lack of hard top is probably the biggest negative. Smog... I don't live in a smog area so that part never concerns me. But if a full resto is your plan it is an issue.

If your just looking for a fair weather driver that looks like a winner to me. Confirm there is no body repair work and I could see paying 8K for that easy.

Steve, if you pull the trigger, I have a box full of '77 2F smog stuff that came from my engine. ('77 transplanted into my '73).

If you have the garage space, I wouldn't worry about it not having a hard top. It's more fun to drive them topless anyway.

Thanks, Martin and I agree with your thought on going topless. It would definitely be a garage queen.

Didn't know you were needing stuff, Matt. I don't read the forum/communicate with the club much these days. Will look to see what I have specifically.

Don't feel bad Martin, I'm just ribbin' ya a little.

I don't think I've brought it up on the forum at all, but I've been scoping the MUD classifieds for a while...

I would assume there's lots of rust (underneath) until proven otherwise. The paint job on that is WAY sloppy. Hood bumpers are painted, frame is painted, and on and on. Looks a lot like a MAACO job to me and if they shortcut that, what else got quick fixed?

I could be wrong, but typically people that fix things "right" fix it ALL right.

Of course....if it was all right, it would be pushing $30k and on ebay.
