Default 80 series replacement speakers.

Anyone have any idea of a good upgrade, replacement speaker that fits in the stock front door spot on an 80(96 if that matters)?

Bought a set of fosgate 6.5's that supposedly fit, but they are way too deep.

Thanks
Abe

There are a number to threads on MUD but for the most part Pioneer probably has the best fitting speaker that you can get behind the OEM grills. This should help.

Thanks guys! I tried to make some nicer infinity speakers fit, but it was going to be more pain than it is worth. Ended up using the "modern" iteration of the pioneer speaker mentioned in the thread. They are pioneer TS-G1644R & they ran me $35 brand new on Amazon. Total snap of an install, and some definite improvement in sound. Not class A or anything, but Erica is happy, so good enough!

Thanks
Abe
