This is between Prescott and Flagstaff, AZ doing the kind of "overlanding" I used to do a lot more of. I miss that part of the world quite a bit.

I spent 6 years of my life in Yuma Arizona while in the USMC. Coming from the Catskill Mountains in NY, it was a shock to the system. I ended up loving it there and loving the desert. Did El Camino Del Diablo twice and explored most of Southwest Arizona by motorcycle, J**p or backpack. There aren't too many places on Earth like the Sonoran Desert in springtime bloom.

I'll dig up some great photos to share. I would love to run El Camino Del Diablo again, especially in the 100, but it's considered the most dangerous road in America now because of all the drug cartels and illegals crossing the border. It's not a place to be unarmed.

Where? We have a place outside Ellenville.

And now back to the desert. How do you choose just one?

1) Did you even know I used to own a 60? This was a San Rafael Swell winter 2000. This river crossing location was a mystery to me till we found it again by accident on the Outlaws Run this year. But had to turn back for the mud.

2) Goblin Valley, same trip. That's Bailey, Zan & Jayna's mom, in the shadow below me. RIP Bailey.

3) Crystal Geyers. The first time Perry & I camped there.

4) Christmas 1999 we camped at the top of Hurrah Pass and went on to Lockhart Basin. We were the only rigs there for three days.

Good call Chris!

Wow! Right up the road from Ellenville in Stone Ridge. My entire family is still there and my father owns a business in Ellenville. PM sent to avoid mucking up this great thread.
