Default local machinist in Aurora?

Does anyone here know of a good machinist around Aurora? Trying to have some custom machining done for my 80. Thanks.

Matt

If I were looking for such a thing, I would call up Painter's Grinding located southwest of the intersection of 6 and 25. They're an aircooled VW shop so they probably won't be able to do it for you, but they'll know who can for sure.

Thanks! More specifically I'm looking to have a custom shaft made so splinting would be a necessity

We use Rex Iron and Machine Products when we have anything that needs machining at work. They have a nice shop, and always have done great work for us. Our machining needs don't require vehicle axles, but pulley shafts and conveyor parts. I don't doubt they could do it, or at the very least guide you to someone who can.

Englewood Driveshaft, Belleview and Broadway, 303-781-0554. Really good workmanship. Second generation in the same shop, that I know of.
