Back in the mid-late 90's, I had a 93' twin turbo RX-7 that was stupid fast......when it ran! I still think it's one of the better looking sports cars of all time.
I added a Pettit Racing exhaust and I could eat Vetts and Mustangs all day long. Problem was, I lived in Arizona and that car hated the heat. Nothing but problems.

The rotary engine is limitless in terms of power. But the apex seals would blow often, the 70+ vaccum lines were brittle, the plastic lightweight radiator couldn't handle the heat......but when it ran, man was it fast. Almost a 50/50 weight ratio front to back, very light and it tracked like a dart. It really was a race car with blinkers.
