My Slee rear bumper has a hole ready to mount an antenna to right in the middle up high. Dave, is that part you mentioned an antenna? Problem is if I get a good antenna mounted well to the truck I know I'm gonna want to become a HAM guy...

And yes,you'll get addicted to the better sound quality, low noise level and extended range pretty quickly. It was great on the Outlaw Run when we were 10 miles or sometimes more apart.
