Coat the inside of a block with it, rods & crank too (non bearing surfaces of course)
I bet it would work well! On race engines we always used commercial grade epoxy to fill any low lying areas in the lifter valley and along the pan rails, then we would coat the inside of the block with silver epoxy paint. It worked very well as when we had to pull them apart they stayed very clean and if the block was stressed anywhere you would spot the cracked paint quickly!

maybe it'd help with cold starts by keeping fuel atomized better in the intake? Spray it in that bugger?

sure the potential for catastrophe might be high, but who cares.. it's in the name of science

Fuel might break it down because of it's solvent qualities.....not sure if that would be good for keeping the valve seats sealed. As long as it was before the injectors It might do well.

X2, but it would be cool to test on an engine nobody cares about.

Abrasion resistance would be my question - how long does it last on the surface of a concrete chute (or inside my wheelbarrow, or on the bottom of my FJ40)...?
