Default Bought a house!

My wife and I are closing on our first house Tuesday!

It was built in 1901 and has lots of character. 950 sqft good sized yard oversized 1 car garage and storage shed (on its own foundation) There is a bunch of weird stuff like a half bath off the master that was an addition and not quite done right and one wall that's straight at the bottom and curved at the top. Not structural though. The inspector was pleasantly surprised at how good of condition it's in. The roof is 1 yr old, the furnace 3 and water heater 4. The original narrow plank hardwood floors were just resurfaced too.

That's excellent Justin. Congrats. What neighborhood is it in?

Not to be a curmudgeon, but get ready to do lead paint mitigation if you're going to be doing any renovations in an older home like that.

What can I say we're suckers for old homes.

Congrats on the house.

I love old homes too. They just don't build them like they used too. Lead and asbestos are just part of it.
