Talking New to site and toyota

Figured I would say hi since I'm new here. Recently got a cheap 97 Lc with lockers. High miles but never been off roading and runs like a top. Coming from the jeep world so don't hate to much looking forward to chatting and riding with you guys/girls. Getting my post inspection done at slee on April 9th. Doing the pcv, rotor, dist, headlight upgrade and harness, air filter, plugs and wires. Got parts from cdan. Cant wait to get her on the trail this summer. Thanks again and looking forward to getting to know some more like minded 4x4 people.

I will also be looking for a mechanic of sorts in the golden/boulder/denver area. Not sure for what just yet. I'm sure after my post inspection april 9th at slee there will be a few things that I'm afraid/hesitant to do on my own. More interested in learning more and helping/doing then just paying to have things done though. Thanks again y'all. Just waiting for UPS to arrive in the next few days to get started.

Welcome. There are quite a few of us 80 owners in the NW Area (Broomfield, Louisville, Boulder, etc). Glad to have another.

There are lots of 80 threads on this forum going back a long way and many of the club guys have at one time or another owned 80 series LC.

Slee is always a good resource but you can also check out ATLR in golden. Jesse is a great guy. You can also get parts from Boulder, Stevinson or groove Toyota. They like us rising sun guys there.

Oh-get sliders before you wheel it too much! Slee has them

I was just typing the same thing....Robbie at Adventure Offroad or Joe at Slee Offroad.

You might want to call now to get in at either shop before the summer. They are both booked solid into May. That should tell you how good they are.
