Default Antero Reservoir to be DRAINED

As in EMPTY. They will work to relocate some fish into Spinny and Elevenmile, but it will be a while until we see quality fishing on Antero again. This will also increase the fishing pressure big time on Spinny and Elevenmile for the immediate future. It's unfortunate. Here's the article....
http://summitcountyvoice.com/2013/03...ero-reservoir/

If you're looking to keep some fish, they are increasing the daily limit from 2 to 8 fish. This is a case where I totally support responsible harvest. I'm guessing very few fish will make it into the other reservoirs.

When they fill Antero back up I hear tell that's how hogs are born.

22 inch 'Bow taken out that way.....released

Landed a few monsters out on Spinny last year. It's almost Callibaetis time!! A few more weeks..... and it's my favorite time of year to be on Spinny, 11mile and Antero.

As a former Summit CO resident it seems much more logical to educate the public and enforce better water conservation on the front range as a long term solution to water issues. The BS we endured in Summit to supply water to the front range was at times comical. Then to drive down to Denver and see irrigation during rain storms very irritating.

Draining a high country reservoir as its not an efficient means of water storage is logical. Put it lower in something deeper that has less evap issues.

The recreation lost sucks but that body of water should never have been there anyway.

Also good looking fish

Water rights can be bad down here too but at least it seems we are closer to the top of the food chain on our local rivers.

Thanks to all the April snow, Denver Water has changed their minds. Standard fishing regulations are back in effect.
