Default Windshield Replacement Recommendation

My new to me 03 TLC has a surprising amount of wind noise coming from the windshield and it's starting to drive me nuts. I live in Monument and work in C/S. Anyone have a recommendation for a shop that has experience with land cruiser windshields? Obviously, the PO had a cheapy install done. Mine has a small crack so might as well replace it. Thanks. Doug

That's a good question I'm interested in too. When I bought my 100 in August, it needed a new windshield which the PO said he'd pay for. Sure enough I have been getting crazy wind noise and a little rattling ever since because it was one of those $200 jobs. Only after I became familiar with the issues with 100 series windshields over on Mud did I realize they probably weren't familiar with the trucks. It needs rivets and other stuff that is not common to most vehicles, and some glass shops have just one guy who does LCs for that reason. I've been turning up the music to drown out the wind noise, but I'd love to fix it right. Only issue I have is that the glass is in perfect shape, so it's hard to justify replacing at this point.

I called Jim and he has good knowledge of land cruisers. He will call me later with a quote. I'm willing to drive to his shop from Monument to have the work done right. Thanks.
