Default back in the saddle again...

So the 80 experiment went badly (see the for sale thread for more info) but I just drove home my new 100 series. Which is what I should have done in the first place!! 2000 Land Cruiser...already has Slee sliders and maybe a small lift? Only pic is from the dealer, will take some more this weekend. Yay!! See you at CM!!

You should just buy a new Cruiser the week before CM every year. It could make a nice tradition. Congrats, Timm.

Could be a small lift, but it kinda looks like the torsion bars are cranked to level it out. Since 95% of them sit rear high/stinkbug, it definitely does make it look lifted! It could be a 1.5" lift too. Anyways, congrats it looks really nice!

thanks! the tires are 285 75 16 so I do think it has a 1.5" lift. Just picked up Amber's LX from the dealer (safety recall on the steering shaft) I will measure the heights when I get home.

And I didn't really buy it just for CM...I needed a new vehicle anyway. I sold my Jetta last year because I was traveling every week for work, and did not make sense to pay to park it at DIA every week. I did the math, and since I get great deals on rental cars (and they treat we very very well because I rent so much...pretty much get to pick whatever I want from the lot) and it was cheaper to get a rental every week than to pay for parking, AND it was paid for! Now I am working from home about 75% of the time, so the math did not work out anymore...and I missed having a trail rig. So happy birthday to me! I am off to Slee to get some goodies...anyone need me to pick anything up? I will be in Denver tomorrow helping to load the CM trailer so I could deliver...

hmm...my 2000 LC sits about an inch taller than Amber's 2003 LX...her truck has 265's and mine has very worn 285's, which would probably explain the difference, so probably no lift on my truck?? It sure *seems* higher

edit - my tires are supposed to be 32.83 inches...and I measure them currently at about 31 inches...wonder if Christo's 315 BFG's would fit?? I am only a mile away or so.....one way to find out!!

Picture looks like it's stock in back (no weight, no seats?) but possibly torqued a little on the TB in front, probably to compensate for the sliders. So you're likely stock. Nice looking ride though!

I'd probably drive it for at least a day before putting 35's on it.. will be faster up the passes. plus I think there's more to it to run 315's than just a twist of the torsion bar, at least if you plan to flex it out a lot.
