Default Wanted: CB Antenna

Hey, I found my dad's old CB. I need an antenna for it. Before I go buy a new one, I want to see if someone has an unused one. I want something I can mount on the rear bumper. Will pay fair price. Thanks.

What are you looking for? I have a 4' fiberglass unit. Very limited use on my 83 pickup. It would be best suited for a hard mount rather then a mag mount. It was ok on my front bumper. I switched to a mid setup though.

I'm in littleton so that might not be worth a trip.

I've got an old school one, complete with tennis ball that you can have. If it were me, I'd just drop the $20 for a new firestik and be done.

Yeah, I have an old, very inflexible white fiberglass CB antenna you can have if nothing else works out. It's probably originally from the 1970s, I dunno.

$20 is very affordable. What is a firestik and where do I get one? Is there anything better? if they're that cheap, I could afford better. Like $20-$60 price range.

you can get them at truck stops, they are not expensive:

I use a simple whip antenna that works fine. I wouldn't worry about getting too crazy with a CB antenna since you are limited with other aspects of the system as far as performance goes.

these folks are in town and cool to deal with. I got my radio there:
