Super fun. The top of Argentine is something special for sure. And I went on a spur that I've never been on before - the "old road" I guess.

My pictures look a lot like Cardinal's - only worse.

Martin, this was great fun. Thanks for setting it up. George and his girls made it to Waldorf before TIm and I started back down. We took the scenic route back into town traveling Virginia canyon, US 40' Kerr Gulch, knitter edge to Indian Hill, Turkey creek to Deer Creek. It was a nice combination of trail and back road driving.

No pictures from me this time. I'VE reached out to the mods to get the planning threads moved her to the trip report thread.

Sorry I missed it! It was going to be my first trip out since Moab. I did get a wrecker to get me home before the rod actually came thru the block so I got a bad knock but at least it runs enough to get it into the garage, once I figure out my replacement engine options. Pics look great and I'm glad everyone had a great time. I'm also glad I didn't get up to the top and then have the rod go!

Great pics. There's nothing like the 40s only run! Wish I could have made it.

Drop the pan, stick a new rod bearing in there and drive it for another 50,000 miles!

What was up with Dave's rig being towed?

I wish I had gone on this one, looks like a blast!

Awesome pics.

Cool to see Cardinal wheeling the 40.

Need to get up there.
