Default How do I adjust the wipers on 77 Fj40?

the wipers and washer technically work just fine except that they need just a little more travel in the initial sweep. they park just fine. Is there a way to adjust that?

The plastic bushings in the linkage could be worn. I rigged something with some plastic bushings I found. It was a while ago but I think I folded the windshield to gain access.

I carelessly disassembled the linkage on my 1980 resto project and spent a solid hour getting the 'self park' feature to work correctly again - a royal pain. Follow the FSM if you start really taking apart the FJ40 wipers. The manual shows you how to set up the wipers before you disassemble.

I don't know how you can adjust the sweep, other than having the wipers sit higher up on the glass when parked.
