Default My photos

This was an excellent run. My 15+ year old daughter (shown) asked at the beginning of the day why I had kept my FJ40 for 23 years, when I had bought and sold so many other vehicles. I think she might fully understand now.

In spite of her, um, years of driving (15 hours on a permit, perhaps), she drove the last mile to the summit, including the fairly evil 'last switchback'. She had an ear-to-ear perma-grin. Thanks to Rising Sun for helping make this a memorable day for both of us!

Yes she did! Let me know if you'd like a high quality version of the picture of her, her grin, and the trucks heading up the last bit to the summit. I'll happily email one over.

We had about 20 FJ40's on the run ysterday. Great group and great weather too. Most made it to the top of the pass and we only had a handful of mechanical issues. Not bad for a bunch of antiques!

Here are a few pics.

Default I concur! Had a great day.

Great day bouncing around in the 40 and man...the eye candy! there were some of the coolest 40's ive seen. I love the look of windshield down and no roll bar.
