Default Mammoth Gulch Workday Saturday Sept. 27th 2014

Howdy Folks!

This is late notice but Linette from the Boulder Ranger District has asked me to put out a request for help to the club.

This weekend they are going to be doing a bunch of work up on mammoth gulch, the details are below as written from her. I think they have some folks from other clubs/organizations heading up but they need more.... It's going to be a packed day. I won't be able to attend but it doesn't mean you cant!!

She's wanting folks to meet at Rollinsville at 8:30am Saturday morning.. or I am sure you could drive up mammoth gulch and find them

Trail details:

Work day details:

Hi All,

Work continues on the Mammoth Gulch Project... The heavy equipment is up there for an additional two days to prepare areas for seeding.

Here is where the project is now:
Eric will be staging nearly 300 bales of wood straw for the project on Tuesday

Eric/myself will stage Buck and Rail on Wednesday

I will have the tools/supplies ready for the workday

Judy will supply us with the replacement seed for nearly two acres of re-seeding

Adam, will you please send out an email to the OHVers

Greg, Bill, Buddy please let me know if you are still able to come, and if we will have the trailer/jeep tandem

Project day 27th September meet at Rollinsville at 8:30. Im hopeful that we will be able to have at least 16 volunteers, 20 would be better. The 5 crews:
Seeding Crew

Mulching Crew

Signing Crew

Buck/Rail Crew (2)

Staging Crew to move materials to project areas

Please send me an email if you are able to participate, I need an idea of help; I want to bring the right amount of materials up to the project.

The fall colors are beautiful up there!

NOAA weather forecast Saturday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 68.
Please bring layers as well as warm clothes, and plenty of water. We will work if it showers, but will cease if there are thunderstorms.

Thanks,
Linette

I went to the BRD meeting tonight and hey said that just a few people in addition to the volunteers that were planning on coming would help... so if you're on the bubble go for it!

Leaves will be peaking and the weather will be awesome.

Trail Ridge Runners and Nissan Off Road club folks will be there.
