That's Dr. Shive! One of his most famous contributions to the world of physics was a little thing called the phototransistor. Just about every engineering school used to have a Shive Wave Machine for freshmen classes in wave theory. What he explained in 25 minutes took 8 weeks in Dr. Johnk's EM Fields I class. Then again we derived all Maxwell's equations from scratch and built the idea of a transmission line starting from a point charge in space through to waves in guides.

Question SWR Meter

I am installing a basic cb radio in my rig, Anyone out there have a meter that could help me out. Also, where is a good place to mount the antenna? Thanks

Steve,
Got your PM while I was traveling. I'm no expert but happy to see if my SWR meter and tuning your antenna would improve reception.
