I've always had my kids with me on this run. Last year, I had my twins on Red Cone and they loved it! I will absolutely have at least one with me again this year.

Thanks Stan. This may be my son's inaugural run!

I have a conference call that will wrap up around 1:30 but I'm going to try and head down as soon as that's done. I don't know if I'll be able to catch any of you on Slaughterhouse but I have every hope of making it. If I can weasel out of work after my call I'll try and connect.

Except on the years I've led when Matt couldn't make it, I am almost always fashionably late but catch up to the rest of the group pretty quickly. Maybe we'll both be doing that?

Red Cone is out due to snow covering Webster Pass and the Montezuma Rd closure.

Twin Cone is a possibility and is in good shape. I went up there Thursday, just me and my girls to check conditions. Didn't see another vehicle on the trail. If we left King Soopers at 2pm, we're looking at dinner at 6-7pm. It's about 40 minutes to the trailhead on top of Kenosha Pass. It's worth mentioning that even the easy line through the rocks has a spot where I touched my slider. I didn't have anyone to spot me through, so a few stacked rocks with a spotter and a stock vehicle could make it through.

This is supposed to be a fun run, so just like last year the main group will consist of the vehicles looking for the easiest trail, which would be Slaughterhouse. I'd like to keep the group together this year, but this is an option.

Here's a sped up video. (slowed down through the rocks) I took many of the easier lines (with a few optionals) but there are certainly lines that will challenge a built up vehicle. I climbed the steep hill farthest to the right (facing up) which is probably the hardest one and descended the one farthest to the right (facing down). I also took an optional line on the way through the rocks where I touched rear bumper and sliders. Got hailed on pretty good right at the end too.

Awesome video! I'm still holding out hope that I can ditch work, load up the boys and go, but realistically I wont know until tomorrow.

It looks as though a fair share of folks would like to do Twin Cone. I'm up for that, so let's make that the main choice with SHG as the alternate. I suggest bringing bug spray as the mosquitos were out in FULL FORCE the other day.

PM me for my cell number. However, I did not get cell service once we started up Kenosha Pass. We should be heading out of King Soopers parking lot by 1:30. Dinner WILL be provided by Rising Sun immediately following the run. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

On a side note, me and 2 of my kids (girl 14 and boy 7) will be heading north on Thursday morning to the Snowy Range of Wyoming for some camping/fishing. We'll probably be returning on Saturday. PM me for details if you'd like to join. My kids always like having other kids around at camp.
