Default Yep, it came to this!!!

After two days of wrenching in Ouray, I'VE BEEN DEFEATED! Pretty confident that the 40 needs a new tranny. Anyone have a 4-speed laying around; this is embarrassing!

Should we sacrifice a new Rubicon to appease the Toyota gods?

Super sorry to hear that, Travis. That really sucks.

Haven't been keeping up with Martin's for sale stuff but if you can find a transmission, I'll bet we could get it to you pretty quickly.

I also have a free H42 from an fj60 sitting in my garage if anyone has a way of getting it to you. Corbet's is closer, but let me know what we can do.

I'll take it! No big deal right now, I'll switch it out at home since we're coming to the end of our trip. What's your flavor Martin & cash is fine too

Grab Martin's for free.

Mine is still in my 40 with no real tools to remove it other than man power. But at least the motor is out of the way.
