Yeah, but that ain't snow. That's just a tease.

I met the Denver OEM guys a few weeks back. Nice bunch. They love what FEAT does.

No, I haven't seen an email or packet this year from Gene either - I've been meaning to email him and see what's up.

All you have to do is go for a drive around your town on a snow day, and you can rescue and give rides all day long. It amazes how people get themselves in ditches and off the road in so many ways.

New update for 2012-13. The application was quick and the ID required was drivers license and DOB.

Subject: FEAT

Greetings to all and Happy Turkey Day and Happy Holidays;
Weatherman says it will be a low snow year this winter but let's hope he's wrong and we get a lot of snow to play in.
The Denver Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security is now requiring a CBI background check on all FEAT volunteers.
Accordingly, I've had to revise the FEAT application and EVERYONE will have to submit a new application.
Please go to www.ColoradoFEAT.org and use the Denver application.
I'll need everyone that wants to remain a FEAT volunteer to complete the new application by 31 December.
I'm also looking for several volunteers to be FEAT Dispatchers. Let me know if you are interested.
Thanks for your prompt action.

Gene W. King
FEAT Chairman

New year, and a new chairman! Get your applications in ASAP.

Greetings!!

I would like to introduce myself as the new Four-wheel Emergency Assistance Team (FEAT) Chairman. We want to thank Gene King for over 17 years of service as the former FEAT Chairman. While Gene says he is retiring, he has already agreed to be the Dispatch Supervisor and we know that he will probably take Big Blue out for a few runs. Gene will also serve as Adviser for the next year.
FEAT www.ColoradoFEAT.org is an organization within the Colorado Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs, Inc. (CoA4WDCI) www.HighTrails.org. This is a state-wide organization that provides capable vehicles with capable drivers to respond to emergencies. We have Memorandums of Understanding with City/County of Denver, as well as agencies in Boulder County, Larimer County and El Paso County.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR FEAT VOLUNTEERS!!! If you know of anyone that has a capable four-wheel drive with high clearance and are willing to volunteer, please forward them to the application. We are in need of dispatchers to work in the City/County of Denver Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and man the phones taking incoming ride request calls and routing drivers. There will be 2 shifts in the FEAT EOC from 7:30AM -1:30PM and 1:30PM to 7:30PM.
Dispatcher training is scheduled for 17NOV2015 6:00PM-8:00PM and 21NOV2015 10:00AM-12:00PM at the City/County of Denver EOC, 1437 Bannock St. Rm3 (basement of City & County Bldg). Please contact me if you are interested. This is a great gig for your spouse to get involved while you are out driving!
Let it snow, let it snow, so FEAT can go!!!!!
FEAT now requires a background check which will be completed through Verified Volunteers. This background check belongs to you and can be shared with other organizations that you may volunteer for. More on this to come. We are updating the website and do not currently have the application available online so I have set up a Google form to accept the application data.

Please go to this link and complete the FEAT application

Thank you!! I look forward to working with all of you and setting up some great training opportunities.

Michael
