Default 80 series 4.11 Gears work in anything else

I think I read somewhere that the ring and pinion out of an 80 would work in a 40 and 60 diff. Anyone know if that's true?

FYI - I found these gears for a friend, don't want them myself. Will see how many people want them and then I will mark up the price

OK just kidding (for those who aren't in on the current bashing target)

So they would make good spares for the CM fund. Could be used for multiple vehicles?

Ken,

I'll have another set available shortly. If you combined the rears you could have a matching set of 4.10s that would be good for somebody with a 40,55,60.

Thanks Eric. These are going to the CM parts fund and it's nice to know multiple uses. Someone with lower gears breaks, we can alwys use these to fix the axle and pull a drive shaft to get them home.
