The stuff I got had several small strands to it, and is still working. 3.5 years and counting, apparently.

Agreed! #4 welding cable, some brass terminals, a large crimper and some welding or well grade heat shrink tubing will do you right!

Do you have said crimper to loan out? I've got a National Luna system just dying to make its way into my truck....

yep. that's what i run for battery cable in the 40. nice and flexible too, just keep in mind that the strands are easier to break also.

FYI on the National Luna kits......If you want to hook up a winch, none of the items in the kit can be used. Cable has to be 35mm².

Yea - Paul suggested running the winch off the main battery if I stick with the parts in the kit, which is probably what I'll do.
