Default 67 FJ40...SM420...t-case linkage...

ok, so picking up my friends 67 FJ40...has the SM420/3speed case...

he said I need to finish the linkage for the hi/low shift...only thing I can find is Classic Cruisers has "something" but couldn't find much elsewhere on fabbing your own...pics...

that or I can't search for

The Sm420 should be similar - this is the SM465

Has dash shifter and vacuum 4wd shifter correct?

Just lengthen the rod ~3", thats what I did, kept the cool OG dash stuff in my crawler

I have to agree! I love the vacuum shift assembly on my '64! Keep it maintained and it will never let you down! BTW mine is a SM420 setup with low geared Cruiser T-case.

Yup, vacuum junk on it...sounds like I"ll just have to lengthen it 3"....the should enjoy that

it just has a few little issues that need finishing...nothing major at all...I'm just not familiar with the OG vacuum stuff...
