Default Metberry Work Day! Hayman Area

The first volunteer work weekend of the year is Saturday, May 12. Meet at the trail head of Metberry Gulch at 9:00am. You must have already signed up on the Teller County Volunteer worksheets to volunteer for the 12th. If you are not already signed up on the Teller County Volunteer Worksheets, get signed up so that you can volunteer for the next work weekend. The worksheets are available at both Predator 4 Wheel Drive locations. You must sign up in person. Anyone wishing to set up and coordinate a different sign up location, please contact "Julie at predator4wd.com".

The work being performed is hard, physical, and dirty. We are moving burnt trees, cutting down trees, building roads, building soil containment structures, and putting up post and cable. We recommend bringing a change of clothing or seat covers for the ride home.

If you have any of these items, please bring them:
chainsaw
heavy duty wire cutters
post hole diggers
Please bring personal items:
gloves
Sun screen
lunch
drinks
weather gear (we work rain/shine)
good work shoes/boots

Please email "jerry at predator4wd.com" with the subject line of volunteer to let us know if you can come. The planned activities change for five volunteers versus 20 volunteers.

Thank you in advance for your participation. Julie Panek

I'll be all over this if I can get signed up in time. Didn't know it could be done remote...they said I had to come in, and that the signup list was effectively closed at this point.

I'll post back if I hear different, got an email headed their way.

I would be there, but it is my nephew's birthday party.

I would bring a change of clothes or 2, and wear something that you would not mind never wearing again.

Good luck guys, hopefully I can make the next one.

Predator 4x4 has been incredible in what they have gotten done. Amazing that the list is closed already! What a great problem to have.

They have really won respect from the S. Platte Ranger District of the Pike National Forest. I wish ALL vendors were as active! (hint, hint, to any vendor lurkers...)

Actually there was room for more . The ranger district has to get everyone's names down ahead of time, that's why the list is closed.

Would RS4x4 be willing to do Denver area volunteer signups? It's easier than driving to the Springs on a weekday
