Default 80 Series Owners - Air Canister and Tuna Can...

I learn something new everyday

I was playing on MUD today and learned that what I was calling the "tuna can" on the 80 Series air filter assembly is more appropriately called the air canister but that there is a "tuna can" underneath the air canister that should be periodically cleaned out.

This might be old news to most but thought I would share

Here is the MUD thread - start with post #53 if you don't want to read the entire thread...

When I lived in Southern California (lots of desert driving), I'd get significant dust/dirt accumulation. Definitely does a great job as a pre-filter.

Not much in it here, though.

I found my tuna can today....it was full! Were not talking full like stuff in the bottom but full, cram packed, nasty, couldn't fit another bug in there if you tried to full.

Actually it was John that found it. Pulled the air cleaner to install the Slee harness and squishy relocater and there it was in all it's tuna can splendor.
