Default Back from Oz

Some of this is a repeat from other threads

I left Denver on May 9th and flew to LA and then on the way to Australia, someone became ill and we were diverted to Hawaii for a 20 hour layover. They did put us up at the Hilton Hawaiian Village

I then Reached Sydney and then took a 3 hour flight to Alice Springs. Alice is a town of about 26,000 in the north central part of Australia. It is truly the Bush. I went to work at this base that was 20 miles form Alice and is responsible for a good portion of the local economy. It is an interesting place because of itís location and all the Aboriginesí that live in the town. Most of them live in the bush and the ones in the town are those who no longer live in the tribe.

Alice has some nice restaurants and a small out door mall called Todd Mall. For some reason, this is a big tourist spot for the Germans, Italians and Asians who are the second major contributor to the economy
