Default Mosquito Pass survey

More information is being gathered, trying to emphasize that OHV use is in the minority in another area. Please take a moment to balance the scales. (copied from a motorcycle forum, verbatim):
_____________________________________________________________
Mosquito Range - Please contribute to a survey
If you have ever ridden over Mosquito Pass on a dual sport or OHV, please take 5 minutes and fill in this survey. The first public meeting that will discuss the results has already passed, but there will be two more. You vote/opinion can still be counted, and it does not require you to write a letter to your congressman. Just fill in some check boxes.

http://www.mrhi.org/survey.html

Thee current results of this survey do not favor our riding interests, but I suspect it is only because the survey has not been advertised on motorcycle forums. Here are the initial results of the survey:
What activities do you do, or would like to do, in the Mosquito Range Heritage Initiative area?
Hike Fourteeners 330
Photography 224
Bird/Nature Watching 86
Hiking/Trail Running 283
Riding ATVs 17
Snow Sledding 20
Camping 259
Jeeping 59
Snowmobiling 17
Mountain Climbing 199
Motorcycling 19
Ice Climbing 59
Mountain Biking 107
Horseback Riding 17
Cross Country Skiing/Snowshoeing 122
Road Biking 37
Hunting 14
Back Country Skiing/Boarding 77
Fishing 0
Visiting Historic Sites 118
Other: 10

As you can see, motorcycling/jeeping/ATV is not well represented. I think this group may be considering "balanced" planning for the area, but they are going to be doing it based on input from the public, stakeholders and from this survey.

Important Note: the Mosquito Range is primarily private land, outside of the control of the Forest Service, so decisions are being influenced by stakeholders and those who speak up.

Please - Please - Please take 5 minutes and place a vote for motorized use on historicly motorized travel routes.
