Default More Volunteer oportunities....

Greetings,

Please join Wildlands Restoration Volunteers on September 22 to restore forest
lands in Left Hand Canyon impacted by past motorized recreation. We have been
working in this area for three years with excellent award winning results.
Please come see for yourself. Live music and celebration afterward.

Sorry if you already got this invitation.

SPREAD THE WORD!
We need nearly 100 volunteers for this event, so please spread the word and
invite friends, family, and colleagues.

DATE: Saturday, September 22, 2007

DESCRIPTION: Help WRV restore forest habitat in Left Hand Canyon, impacted by
years of motorized recreation. Over the past three years, Wildlands Restoration
Volunteers collaborated with the Forest Service, Trail Ridge Runners, and Walsh
Environmental Services, to complete the first three phases of an award-winning
restoration project benefiting hundreds of acres of forest habitat in the FR286
corridor, plus downstream water quality and fish habitat. In 2007, we will
continue this success, closing and restoring thousands of feet of spur roads.
Volunteers will seed multiple areas, apply erosion fabric and construct erosion
preventing structures. Number of Volunteers: 90+. Min. Age: 12 with an adult.

TO SIGN UP, OR TO GET MORE INFO
Visit our website (www.wlrv.org) and click on "Projects & Trainings", then
"Current Project Schedule", scroll down and click the "Left Hand Canyon
Restoration" link. Or, Send an email to info@wlrv.org or call 303-543-1411.

ADDITIONAL PREP PROJECT, Wednesday, Sep 19:
For long term success of the restoration described above, it is essential that
the restoration area be protected from future impacts. On Wednesday, September
19, we will construct a post and cable fence barrier to protect the restoration
area. This same technique has been used very successfully at other national
forest sites. No experience is necessary. If you want to attend, follow the same
instructions above, and select "Left Hand Canyon Protection Barrier" project.

Thank you!
