You can tell he's single. My wife would kill me if I brought a tire -- any tire: new, used, mounted or unmounted -- into the kitchen.

Brought it into the kitchen? Hell, I mounted them in the kitchen with the air hose run through the window.

I don't know if they need spacers but the 80 dust caps will protrude past the center caps.

That is awesome. I have to open up my FJ40 instrument cluster and see if this is possible. Not back-lighting, but at least some cool green LED's. I think I have maybe two working bulbs in there now and they are dim dim dim.

Nice job Mike!

You only get caught once drying something in the oven or washing stuff in the dishwasher. Had my timing off when cleaning a bunch of aluminum parts for the engine build... I was sure she'd be gone longer than that.

"Honey, I think something's wrong with the dishwasher. The last batch of dishes feel slimy."

The Fj40 has been updated with LEDs as well.... I thought that was old news

Just kidding, I had a few extras so I modded the 40 the same day.

194 style bulbs in a socket. I put the superbrightleds - WLED-x5 LED Wide Angle LED bulb $ 2.99 (each) - Cool White WLED-CW5 0.95 in there (quantity 2). 1978 style cluster. I think the old school clusters use 194s to but I can't remember.

Not old news for me. I found a thread on MUD about it though. Looks like I'll have to retro-fit that spare cluster I have. I've been using a light on my key chain to see my fuel gauge at night.
