Default Crossbars for Roofrack

Prototypes are done. They are out of 11GA CRS, and the production stuff will be out of 14 ga CRS.
Cool thing is, the 14GA will just be lighter, because the shape of these things are what gives them the most of their strength.
EDIT:Probably two different lengths. a ~50" model, and a ~62" model.

I will try to have pricing by the meeting for those who are interested.

Here are a couple teaser shots:
1. Me on one, that's 200lbs on one crossbar
2. Same, but different angle to show it really is on one crossbar
3. Sort of side profile showing crossbar and holes.

Two s up Nathaniel!!

Still need to grab my gutter mounts from you as well. Any thoughts on when production versions of the cross bars will be available? Also, is it possible to use 80 series bars on a 40 so I only have to buy one set of bars or would a person want to get a set of 60 series bars to use for both?

Wow those are pretty. So would the wider 60 version still mate up with an 80? Just in case one wanted a little bit wider roof rack...

And how'd you get that hole in your pants?

Awesome Nathanial! Not trying to be a MUD (pun intended) slinger but is one bolt really sufficient in lateral strength? Seems like the leverage on that one bolt would be tremendous!

I may be wrong (not unusual for me ) but in looking at the gutter mount bracket it would appear that it is designed to utilize up to two bolts per side to secure the cross bar to it
