Yeah, trail spares are not a problem. I have a set of ball joints already that I carry that are pretty much in the same shape as what I have on my truck now. They are getting old and so spending a ton of money and going to the Rubicon only to break them doesn't seem financially smart. Plus we are taking the extra week of vacation coming back through southern Utah. I was actually thinking of buying a good set of ball joints, throwing them in the truck and replacing them /after/ the Rubithon and getting an alignment in Tahoe. Even if they don't break on the trail, they are gonna take a beating. So then I would be less worried since I think we'll be solo for a lot of the return leg.
