It's certainly NOT a requirement. If your wireless network works fine now, then I'd try them out with what you have. I actually have CAT5 (ethernet) to my entertainment center, but will use a wireless connection upstairs.

Did you get your Rokus yet? I hooked up mine on Sunday and have already watched a Netflix movie on it. Nice quality too.

Helped my dad hook up his roku this afternoon. Pretty cool, though getting USB storage enabled took a bit. And it doesn't play hulu. Seems like they've got a good platform, hopefully future software releases will make it more functional. (Network enabled storage to usb, itunes, hulu, though I don't hold out hopes for most of them).

Not Woot (which is having a Woot-Off right now btw) but seems like a pretty decent deal:

500GB portable Iomega eGo HD

$60 + free shipping

I bought a couple of similar items awhile ago to dump a copy all my pictures, music, movies, etc. onto once a month or so and then I store the HDs in my safe.

Default Bucky Balls

Today's Woot has Bucky Balls, and green ones

Not quite as good of a deal as the ones Hulk got for some of us but still not bad I guess...

Price for 2 sets = $30 + $5 shipping = $35 for 2 or $17.50 each
Price for 4 sets = $60 + $5 shipping = $65 for 4 or $16.25 each
Price for 6 sets = $90 + $5 shipping = $95 for 6 or $15.83 each
