Curious, what has been your favorite so far? My top three are Village Coffee Shop, DOTs, and Eggcredible.

1. Eggcredible, 2.LaFamilia, (non NSTBC trip when Drew didn't order for me!) 3.Golden Buff

I'll be in South Africa in two weeks working. Well, actually, I'll do some hunting too. Here is a picture from my last job in South Africa (August 2007). I was trying to keep the town from falling into the abandoned mine. I then got some R&R.

I'm going to give a vigorous #1 vote to Eggcredible. That place rocks!

2. Lucilles
3. Dots

I think I've missed all the visits to Village Coffee. We might need to try that one again.

The 23rd is leading into Memorial weekend, and I might be heading out of town early for a night or two of camping.

Sweet harvest Jeff!

Is that a Ku-doo? (sp?) I think I remeber Ku-doo's having curly horns. Nice kill either way.

Drew,

Its a Gemsbock, also known as an Oryx. To me, the harvest is just the culmination of a very long series of activities. I really take no pleasure in the killing. I think I will take my bow on the next trip.

I take lots of pride in the harvest! Just as my forefathers did! I do not poach and I eat what I kill.

I got a tip today from "John" here in Louisville, if you live here, I know you've seen my friend John... he can usually be found riding his bike and looks kinda homeless though he isn't.

Anyway, John asked me this morning as I was leaving Starbucks "He bud, you like biscuit's and gravy?" I said, "I'm your man!" He went on to tell me about Chip's Cafe in Lafayette "behind the liquor store." He claims the it is the best B&G in town.

Can someone go take a looksy on that side of the tracks? Jacket?

Google says 400 W. South Boulder Near 287...

I'll put it on the list, but next Friday is Huckleberry right? Jeff, you back in the states by then?

Drew

Funny how everyone around Louisville knows that guy "John." He frequents the Starbucks across from the 7Eleven on McCaslin - I'm guessing that's where you saw him? We should treat him to a breakfast....

Yea Chip's wasn't anything special - hard to find, big restaurant, marginal breakfast.

I'm pretty sure I could do next Thursday at Huckleberry - Friday looks like a no-go though.

I was near Oscar's (Public Road, Lafayette) again this evening - a decent crowd in there for dinner. Let's make that a destination for June.
