You guys hit it, so I could figure out how to put hinges on it. Then have a flip-up access to tools, recovery gear, and the fridge. Keep the slider on the other side for the dog, since that's all they're good for.

A guy on MUD did just that, albeit not with a "glass" window per se

Pretty cool idea and pretty creative on how he got it all to work in the end. Can't remember off the top of my head who it was though...

EDIT: found it --> Rear Access Mod

Ahh, the "stripper" cruiser. I have personally only seen one. John Shotts had one with lockers and cloth but no third row and no sunroof or roof rack. This one is odd that it has leather and no third row.

Land Cruiser travelers tend to discuss the routes and countries they have visited. Land Rover travelers tend to discuss the latest mechanical setbacks and leaks.

Yeah Jeff I remember that thread, something like that but solid glass. Also with the latch on the inside, then flip-up lifters like a truck topper. In fact the topper places call them "windoors." I put one of them on our Taco's topper when we had it and it was the handiest thing, would love to have that type of access to the back of the 80- without moving the spare.

a lot of the JDM 80's that come into Canada have fixed glass windows, and no 3rd row.

I bet if you wanted the glass someone on mud in the JDM classifieds would trade.

I love my sliding windows in my 80. Since my 3 yr old sits in the 3rd row I open the window for him in town. Also helps to do up his seatbelt.
