Default Hotel/motel before and after Rubiton

Sharon and I are planning on staying in a hotel/motel the night before and after the Rubiton. They would need to be dog friendly since they will be with us. If you have any suggestions please let me know, I would like to make reservations ASAP. Not sure what town we want to stay in either so we are wide open. Would like to be close to the trail head on Wednesday so we don't have a long drive. On Sunday we could drive a little longer if need be, want to be around the lake or on the lake.

Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks

Spoke to Jon Davis, he said best thing to do for my situation would be to stay in South Lake Tahoe on Tuesday then drive to Loon Lake Wednesday morning. About a 60 plus mile drive that takes about 1-2 hours. Think we may do that since I need to leave my tow rig there anyway and Sharon really wants to check out the lake area.

I will let you know what I find. Jon also said to give Dave Brown a call since he has a ton of experience on and around the Rubicon.

I'm going to be in Reno around 7p on Tuesday hoping someone from the caravan is close enough to swing by an pick me up. I'm only bringing 5$ worth of quarters so I should be free by around 7:20p
