I guess i will find out today the fate of the red 80.... i can definitely say this has not been as smoothe as i would like to have had it.... Story for a different day... Many thanks to Robbie for giving it a shakedown and letting me know how much lighter my wallet will need to get if i go through with it...

And thanks to Ken for letting me drive his rig.... it is simply awsome...

Its official, I now have a wallet that is so light it acts like it'e filles with helium, and i now own a red "moderately built" FJ80 with Slee bumpers and sliders....

It has one HID bulb and one yellow one. I am sure it look wierd to see this rig coming down the road at night. Need to source new bulbs, and wanted to find out where you 80 owners were getting the LED bulbs for the interior.

Nakman, i am interested to find out about the OBO setup using the York compressor....

Cheers,
Neil.

Hey, alright Neil! LED's for the map and dome lights come from George.. anyone have a link handy? door LED's and other cheapies tend to come from superbrightleds.com.. rear hatch LED's are found at Costco.

You're welcome to stare at my OBA setup any time.. step 1 you already have, step 2 is the bracket- decide if you want to try to fab your own or just buy the one that Slee sells.. but there's of course a newer approach that a friend of Eric V. just did, I will try to remember to find that post tonight and post it up, unless someone beats me to it. But it's a slightly different bracket so you don't have to add a third belt to the water pump, I think he said he was making some.

Cool, I think you got a pretty good deal on the truck. We have the York brackets on sale, so have that wallet float over here

Although I think a trip to Treeroot's place should be in order first as I'm pretty sure he has the LED thing down now

Congrats on the 80 Neil

Congratulations on the 80!

No idea on quality yet or the how long they last but I outfitted all the overhead lighting with the 48 Led SMT Array Cool White @ 24.99 each. They are at least twice as bright as George's Map setup. Available with a 31mm festoon or Ba9 connector.
