Exclamation Rising Sun Member access to the forum

I just finished going through the roster and updating new members.

I also changed the status of some former members to "registered user." They still have access to most of the forum, but it won't say "Rising Sun Member" under their Forum Name.

Let me know if I made any mistakes. If you think you're a member but it doesn't say so, let me know.

Best,
Matt

That brings up a question. My renewal was due in October but I haven't made the last few meetings. Is there an online renewal anywhere or do I have to do it in person?
Thanks
Abe

You can mail a 50.00 check to:
Rising Sun 4WD Club of Colorado
PO Box 260175
Lakewood, CO 80226-0175

Or

http://www.risingsun4x4club.org/paypal.shtml

$50 or $51.75 using Paypal (I think 1.029 is still current).

Article II Dues, Finances

Section A. Active Membership

1. Membership dues shall be determined annually by the officers, and approved by the active membership no later than December 31st. Dues are currently $50 per year. Dues shall be received by the treasurer upon approval for membership, pro-rated to the nearest quarter of the fiscal year for new members. Due date for renewal is January 1.

I looked up the Paypal fees:

Goods and services – Purchase payments:

There’s no fee to use PayPal to purchase goods or services. However, if you receive money for goods or services (such as from selling an item on eBay), the fee for each transaction is 2.9% plus $0.30 USD of the amount you receive.

https://www.paypal.com/selfhelp/article/FAQ690/7

We may need to verify this and update the Rising Sun link. There are ways to avoid fees if you choose the right combination within Paypal. (Send money to friend and use your checking as an example).

Thanks Treeroot! I just paid via paypal & I just added in the fees to make it easy on everyone, but it might come up a bit screwy, as afterward it told me I was, 'going back to Moab" so the paypal account must be a cruis moab one. Hopefully that isn't an issue.

Also, not the right thread, but thanks for giving Erica advice on the handheld ham! I can't wait to listen into people's chats on the trail, and eventually get a license so we can transmit too! Very much appreciated.

Thanks for letting me remain a "member" for as long as you did. guess it was time to be downgraded since i've been in the corn flats for over a year.

Everyone renews at the beginning of the calendar year. We usually ask everyone to renew in the first 3 months of the year. If you just paid your membership dues online, you should be good for 2016. Your next renewal date will be Jan. 2017.

We just have a single account, and it's used for everything. We should probably let Dan know about this -- thanks!

You're always welcome to be a part of the gang, whether it's online or in-person. As you can see, you're not missing out on much when your membership status changes.

Thanks for doing this Matt. I took a look, and I am on there.

Question - it says the roster was updated in October, am I looking at the wrong roster? Found under the "Members Only" section (next to the sweet jackets!)

That is the most recently uploaded roster.

I think maybe my membership got updated the wrong way? It looks like I'm not listed currently?
