Great pics Martin! It was fun to see the 60 and RTT on the run.

Like I said before, I had a really great time. Neil, Greg and myself rolled into camp around 2:30 that morning, taking the long way through Middle Quartz to reach camp. Got to ride shotgun the next day with Bruce, Ige, Wes and Subzali, on top of hiking down the back side of Hancock Pass(my legs are tired today!

Saturday nights dinner was awesome! And the cool rain felt good after a week of working in the wood shop with no a/c.

Was having such a good time forgot about promoting the book I just finished about the last 3 runs

Many many thanks to Nathaniel and everyone else who made this such a great run!

Will work on pics this week.

Sorry for taking a while to post up, but here we go:

Martin, Wes, Ige and I met up in Conifer to convoy down together on Friday. We went up to St. Elmo, and then took Hancock Pass over to check out the campground the valley. We planned on some extra running, but we wanted to see what was going on. Here's Hancock from St. Elmo (in red):

From there we went down to Pitkin and across over Waunita Pass to Black Sage Pass, then up through Snowblind Campground and White Pine to Tomichi Pass (route in blue):

Falling building on Hancock:

Water Tank on the road:

Road Kill Cafe in Pitkin:

Top of Black Sage Pass:

Couple pics coming up Tomichi: really worth the drive:

Breaking trail on Tomichi:

We decided to camp just a little ways down from the intersection with Hancock because we didn't want to drive all the way back down to the campground.

Coming down from the top of Tomichi, we were like, "is that a Cruiser?" Nah, it's a J**P. But wait, Ige busted out the binocs and sure 'nuff. I went down to have a look-see. Here's what I found:

Saturday we went back over Hancock to St. Elmo to meet up with the rest of the group, and then came back, went up to the Alpine Tunnel (west portal), then all the way down to the campground.

Sunday we went over Cumberland Pass to Tincup:

The group took off towards Taylor Park and over Cottonwood Pass home, while Treeroot, Wes, Quigley and I headed up to Mirror Lake to check things out, and then up to the summit of Tincup Pass (it would have been nice to go all the way over to St. Elmo, as was originally planned, but alas too much snow blocking the road):

You can see the dashed line - that is Old Tincup Pass - it's 0.5 mile of nice narrow rocky road with one large bouldery section that gave my 40 a few new dents in the skid plate and other places - after a little rock stacking I was up and over, and Treeroot walked it in his normal Treeroot fashion

After which we headed back to Taylor Park and up over Cottonwood an hour or so after everybody else. A great trip!

I bet with enough winch cable we could winch it - easy. It's a side pull yeah but with two trucks pulling - it's only what? 400 lbs. of steel there? We should do it

Default Great Time!!

Just wanted to say thanks to Groucho for all the info. It was a great time and was awsome to see some new scenery. I can't wait to come back. I cant remember everone i met but hope to see everyone again soon.

Alexis had fun with Emily, Gavin and all the other children. Oh i can't forget Niel. Then there was my wild dog. He is still sleeping. Thank god! Got a little work to do there so i did not get that many PICS but thought i would share a few Panoramics i took. For our first trip out in a long while and with the family we had a great and memorable time. Thanks again for all who put this together. We will be back! Not to scare anyone....

Kenny
