Hmmm - I'm only slightly concerned that my wheelbase and 33's might be slightly underpowered on this trail - at least on French Creek. I'm not sure I should be running the same trails as Gary and his bitchin 45.

You'll be fine. If you decide not to go up past french creek, lots of places to park below, and you can walk/ride the last bit as its only a mile or so up to the city from there.
