Default Parts cabinet

Anyone have a blasting cabinet for parts? I want to do my bell housing and mounts and stuff.

I have a siphon tank that works really well, and I just add the sand to my kids slide landing pad.

let me know. I am home for the next few days with a boiler replacement

So its a sandblaster outside John? I have a sandblaster, I just didn't feel like setting it up for a bunch of small parts.

Setting it up? I hook the air hose to it, don my trusty covered pith helmet (shut up bill) and blast. oh, and I add media when empty.

am I missing something?

Not missing anything, that's what I do. I have also discovered that the 12 gallon aux tank I use at point of use makes a fantastic condensor. When you set it outside, it stays cool and squeezes any moisture out of your air. As for small parts, I either hold them in my gloved hand while I hold the blaster gun with my other hand, or hold them with vice grips if they're too little to hold without blasting my gloves.

The only real issue with blasting outdoors in the winter is goggles fogging up :-)

I sandblast in my driveway and have to clean up when I am done. Plus I use reusable media so the net result is sandlbasting is a big production here involving many hours of pushing a broom in my driveway.

I sandblast in my driveway, sweep up the media, strain it into a big bucket, and use it again. If you have a cabinet, these steps are unnecessary. However, my buddy's cabinet is usually too small for the parts I want to blast.
