Default Death Wobble

I have had some death wobble issues with my 70 series (OME lift, shackles, ect). I was thinking it was bushing related because you could see the leaf spring off center in the shackle and frame mount. As I tore it apart I noticed I have a broken leaf (right in the middle) on the drivers side rear pack. I am in the process of replacing bushings with new OME ones but how should I fix the spring? Is there someone local (denver area) that could make me a leaf? A leaf is a leaf if its the same length, width, and thickness or are there material differences? Can I order a spring from OME? Where would y'all go in denver to order such a thing? I am kinda still learning the area.

BTW this is my first post in the rising sun area!

Thanks
-Noah

I would call arb and see what you can do. they might give you a discounted one or replace it. FYI. the rear 70 springs are the same as a 60 rear spring.

I don't think you can really slip in a new main leaf with that OME pack. The OME springs are bent at the U-bolts to give a flat contact. I would think if you got a used leaf which was curved throughout it would eventually break too. JMHO.

Denver Spring will custom make, but like Wes said, call the folks at arb.

we need pictures of your 70 series before we can properly diagnose the problem...

Christo Slee at Slee Off Road in Golden and Joe Calleja at Colorado Toyota Specialists (CTS Automotive) in Aspen Park are both Rising Sun members and are ARB dealers. I'm sure either one could order you in a replacement leaf. It might take a while to get a single leaf in from the next shipment from Oz to Seattle, OTOH you might get Chris Wood at ARB in Seattle to sell you one out of a 60 pack and then they could get the replacement leaf in themselves to make the 60 pack a pack again. Chris Wood is a great Rising Sun supporter.

Talked with a fellow named Duffy
$109 per side from ARB plus shipping (about $70 for both packs)

or cheapest locally $130 per side from High Country 4x4 (plus tax).

I am going to check with Denver spring about getting a custom leaf made.

Wes do you know which leaves your running there's a CS017RA and a CS017RB both are the medium spring rate. I figured medium would be best cause the 70 is small and doesn't have much room for cargo ect.
