As in you mean L7 (L '4'+'3', I get it)? FWIW, L43 as in the early Hilux side shift 4 speeds, that he had melt down on Onion Creek in the 1980 on one of our Moab trips. The prompted the G54HD+Marlin Ultimate as a replacement...
