Default Who has an SWR Meter?

Got permanent antennas for the hamm & cb in my 80 now and would like to check the SWR Ratios for max performance. Does anyone have one?

2m/70cm Ham one is different than CB one, FYI. I have a CB one you can borrow. Or we can just check it at the meeting, it's pretty simple.

Matt is 100%. SWR meters are somewhat frequency specific. One for a CB will work on most of the ham HF bands, but definitely will not work on VHF or UHF. Best case is you get erroneous readings, worst case is you can ruin a test tool.

I have SWR bridges for HF & CB, VHF and UHF as well as an antenna analyzer that covers 160m up to 70cm.

It's pretty unlikely I'd be able to make the meeting next week although we've traditionally done a Ham & Eggs Tune Up day in April before CM.

Thanks guys! I was hoping to check them before the Trail Leader Training Run March 15.

I know you recently moved Dave. Could you PM me your new addy and maybe I can arrange it with you to swing by with the rig after work one day. Heck I've been driving it everyday this week because of the snow up here.

Default FWIW: I've got'em both...Northside.

I have SWR meters for both CB and HAM.

I'm happy to help out on Ham and Eggs Tune up day and bring the meters to tweak antennas as needed.

I have a CB one. We should bring a few to the pre-run and have a SWR tuning night, but keep the whitey tighty's off our heads.

Bring it! I posted a request for a Hamm SWR on the Pre-Run thread.
